The Department is looking for a Chair Professor to provide strong academic leadership in both research and teaching, and to contribute to the administration and management of the Department of Accountancy, and to the development of the Faculty of Business. It is expected that the appointee can contribute to AI, data science and STEM-related accounting research in alignment with the University’s strategy and to significant leadership service.

General Requirements

Candidates should have (a) a PhD degree in a relevant discipline with substantial teaching experience; (b) a strong international reputation and an outstanding track record of high impact research publications and competitive research grants; (c) strong research leadership capabilities and experience, with a commitment to helping other faculty develop their research and providing research supervision to students; and (d) previous administrative leadership experience at the Department or Faculty level will be a distinct advantage.

To facilitate the growth of our programmes Massey University's - Te Kunenga ki Pūrehuroa - School of Sport, Exercise and Nutrition is seeking an innovative and engaged Lecturer/Senior Lecturer with expertise in Motor Learning and Control. About the Role

Join the International Centre for Point-of-Care Testing (ICPOCT), a globally recognised leader in point-of-care testing research, education and service delivery. As the Senior Scientific Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery and ongoing development of the Northern Territory Point-of-Care Testing Program, working closely with health services, research partners and multidisciplinary teams. This position combines scientific leadership, project coordination, staff supervision and research activities to improve access to quality healthcare, particularly in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and rural and remote settings. The position also includes potential travel requirements, including visits to rural and remote communities and healthcare services across the Northern Territory, to support program implementation, stakeholder engagement and training activities.

Key responsibilities include:


	Supporting the delivery of point-of-care testing programs, including training, quality management, competency assessments and technical support for health professionals across participating sites via email and a telephone support line (M-F 9am-5pm).
	Coordinating program activities and logistics, including stakeholder engagement, device deployment, service improvement initiatives and committee participation to ensure successful program outcomes.
	Contributing to research activities through data analysis, reporting, publications and the evaluation of clinical, operational and cost-benefit outcomes.
	Provide leadership and day-to-day supervision of scientific and administrative staff, supporting performance, development and operational excellence across the program.

About You

Your scientific expertise, cultural awareness and commitment to continuous improvement will enable you to make a meaningful contribution to both program delivery and research outcomes.

You will have:


	A degree in a relevant Health Science discipline, with significant experience in pathology testing, quality assurance and/or point-of-care testing delivery and research.
	Well-developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with experience delivering training, working across diverse cultural settings and supporting quality and accreditation frameworks.
	Demonstrated experience managing time and competing priorities, with the ability to work autonomously, exercise sound judgement and achieve outcomes against agreed timelines and objectives.

The Division of Science (formerly known as Science Unit) (DoS) was established in 2015, comprising a dedicated team of scholars and researchers with expertise in biodiversity conservation, ecology, and sustainability analytics. The DoS offers 4 programmes in the field of environmental science and sustainability, including: (1) Minor in Environmental and Scientific Literacy; (2) MPhil in Environmental Science; (3) PhD in Environmental Science and (4) Master of Science in Sustainability and Environmental Analytics. Apart from teaching and research, the DoS is highly engaged in community outreach and knowledge transfer activities. We promote science education and sustainable development through immersive field visits and internships, citizen science initiatives, and Service-Learning projects.

The Division of Science (DoS) invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor in biodiversity conservation, ecology, or a closely related field. We seek an outstanding and well-rounded scholar who can demonstrate excellence in research, teaching, student mentorship, grant acquisition, and external engagement. The successful candidate will be expected to obtain externally funded research projects, build and lead a productive research team, publish in high-impact peer-reviewed journals, and teach effectively at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels in a liberal arts setting. The appointee will also contribute to the academic, professional, outreach, and knowledge-transfer activities of the Division, School, and University, and is expected to build meaningful collaborations with local NGOs, government bodies, industry, and other external partners.

General Requirements
Candidates should have (1) a PhD/Post-doctoral experience in the field of biodiversity conservation ecology, or a closely related discipline; (2) relevant postdoctoral and/or independent research experience; (3) a strong publication record in peer-reviewed, international journals; (4) demonstrate success in securing competitive external research grants and fundings; (5) a strong commitment to excellent teaching, student supervision, outreach, and knowledge transfer; (6) experience in, or strong potential for, working with local NGOs and other external partners, and (7) the ability to contribute to, applied areas such as carbon auditing, sustainability assessment or related fields, alongside the university’s goal of producing socially significant research that informs sustainable development. The Department of Chemical and Process Engineering (CPE) within the Faculty of Engineering is seeking to recruit a Research Associate to develop novel carbon measuring metrics to achieve a Carbon Circular Economy. Machine learning-based work will be carried out on thermodynamics, kinetics and catalysis of decarbonisation technologies, including biomass valorisation, CO2 conversion, waste plastic recycling, etc. This position is one of the three PDRA positions being recruited for one UKRI-funded project with an overall aim of reshaping a fossil-free feedstock carbon supply to accelerate net-zero.

The position requires prior experience in Machine Learning, and a background in Thermodynamics/kinetic analysis and catalysis is preferred. The postholder will be responsible for Machine Learning work on the key reactions, evaluating the role of operating conditions and catalyst performance, and developing new carbon measuring metrics built upon traditional Life-cycle Assessment techniques. The postholder will work closely with the principal investigator, other Research Associates, and the PhD students who are involved in this project.

As a Research Associate, under the general guidance of a research leader, you will develop research objectives, play a lead role in relation to a specific project/s or part of a broader project, conduct individual and/or collaborative research, contribute to the development of new research methods, and contribute to the securing of funds for research. You will write up research work for publication, individually or in collaboration with colleagues, and disseminate the results via peer-reviewed journal publications and presentation at conferences. You will join external networks to share information and ideas, and inform the development of research objectives. You will collaborate with colleagues to ensure that research advances, and you will collaborate with colleagues on the development of knowledge exchange activities by, for example, participating in initiatives which establish research links with industry and influence public policy and the professions. You will co-supervise student projects, provide advice to students and contribute to teaching as required by, for example, running tutorials. You will contribute in a developing capacity to Department/School, Faculty and/or University administrative and management functions and committees and engage in continuous professional development.

To be considered for the role, you will be educated to a minimum of PhD level in an appropriate discipline, e.g., Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, etc, or have significant relevant experience in addition to a relevant degree. You will have sufficient breadth or depth of knowledge in Machine Learning, Thermodynamics, and Catalysis, and a developing ability to conduct individual research work, to disseminate results and to prepare research proposals. You will have an ability to plan and organise your own workload effectively and an ability to work within a team environment. You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to listen, engage and persuade, and to present complex information in an accessible way to a range of audiences.
