The team Reporting to the Associate Director, Biological Services, this role forms part of Research Infrastructure team within Biological Services and is aligned to the Research and Innovation Portfolio within the University. The hospital also provides an exceptional clinical learning environment, where final-year veterinary medicine and veterinary technology students gain practical experience under the guidance of experienced veterinarians, nurses and professional staff. Core Responsibilities Deliver professional and compassionate customer service to clients in person, over the phone and via email. Manage appointment bookings, patient admissions and discharges, and general reception enquiries. Liaise with referring veterinary practices and support communication between clients and clinical staff. Assist with emergency presentations and patient handling as required. Maintain accurate patient records using veterinary practice management software. Process payments, invoices and insurance claims. Contribute to maintaining a welcoming, organised and professional reception environment. Provide administrative support to ensure the efficient day-to-day operation of the hospital. Essential Skills and Experience Demonstrated experience in a customer service or reception role, ideally within a fast-paced environment. Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Outlook and Excel. A collaborative approach with the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Experience using veterinary practice management software (such as Cornerstone) is desirable. Previous experience in a veterinary practice or animal health environment is desirable.
