Join the University of Southampton Auditory Implant Service (USAIS) as a Rehabilitationist and make a meaningful impact in the lives of cochlear implant and auditory implant users. This is a part-time permanent post (28 hours/week). As a Rehabilitationist, you will play a vital role in helping patients adapt to and optimise their auditory implants. Working within a multi-disciplinary team, you’ll provide specialist rehabilitation, guiding patients through their hearing journey. Essential qualifications include: Appointment as Full Professor or equivalent academic standing At least 10 years of experience in both teaching and research in a field relevant to the School Strong international academic reputation demonstrated through research and teaching achievements Experience in the commercialization of research and research transfer (e.g., startups, entrepreneurship, patenting) would be an advantage Proven involvement in high-level academic administration and leadership such as roles in academic governance or scientific organizations Demonstrated experience in strategic thinking and academic management Understanding of the economic and strategic context of academic and scientific activities within universities Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills with the ability to foster collaboration and teamwork Experience working with highly diverse and international student bodies and their representative organizations or equivalent experience leading diverse teams Familiarity with international and German higher education systems Fluency in English (language of instruction at Constructor University); proficiency in German would be an advantage Demonstrated ability to contribute to the development and innovation of academic units and institutions, particularly in relation to digital transformation.
