Ho Chi Minh University of Banking is a public university under the State Bank of Vietnam, established in 1976. Originally founded to support the development of Vietnam’s banking and financial sectors, the institution has evolved into a multidisciplinary university offering education across a range of business, economic, legal, and technology-related fields.
Since its founding, HUB has educated more than 50,000 graduates, including bachelors, masters, and doctoral degree holders who now work across the public and private sectors in Vietnam and internationally.
The university operates across three campuses in Ho Chi Minh City, providing students with access to both central business districts and modern educational facilities. Two campuses are located in District 1, the city’s commercial and administrative centre, while a larger campus is situated in Thu Duc City. Why Your Role Matters

The Head of School provides strategic, academic and operational leadership for the School of Humanities & Social Sciences, ensuring excellence across research, education, people leadership and external engagement. Working closely with the��Rector, UNSW Canberra, the Head of School is a key member of the Faculty Executive and plays a pivotal role in shaping the future direction of the School while contributing to the University's strategic ambitions.

The Opportunity

The School of Philosophical, Historical and Indigenous Studies is seeking either a Level B Lecturer or Level C Senior Lecturer to join the Archaeology and Ancient History team. The role involves contributing to teaching across undergraduate and Honours programs in Archaeology and Ancient History, supervising graduate research students, and working collaboratively within team-teaching and interdisciplinary initiatives. The successful candidate will also support curriculum development, student engagement, and the department’s public outreach activities.

The position will play an important role in maintaining and further developing the School’s strengths in interregional approaches to Egypt and its connections with the wider Mediterranean, including across archaeology, ancient history, and cultural heritage studies. At Level C, the role also carries a broader expectation of significant contributions to teaching leadership, scholarship, and/or research, with an emphasis on academic development, curriculum enhancement, and active participation in the intellectual life and strategic priorities of the department.

As the successful candidate, you will have demonstrated experience in Egyptology, archaeology or ancient history (from the Predynastic to Ptolemaic periods), supported by a relevant qualification. You will bring a strong and active research profile in Egyptological, archaeological, ancient historical, and/or cultural heritage research, evidenced by high-quality refereed publications, and a commitment to advancing scholarship through ongoing research activity, curriculum development, and academic leadership.

You will also demonstrate experience in tertiary teaching, including curriculum and subject development, course coordination, and the ability to motivate and engage diverse student cohorts across undergraduate and postgraduate levels. We are now looking for a Research Support Assistant (fixed term), within the School of Nursing, Public and Allied Health. The role will sit in the Violence, Peace and Health Risk Behaviours Research Team led by Professor Zara Quigg,

Under supervision, you will work within specified research grants and/or projects, to undertake primary research and intervention evaluation. You will undertake literature reviews and contribute to the development and implementation of quantitative and qualitative research and evaluation projects, including data collection, analyses and reporting.

You will also provide research administrative support to the team and contribute to the preparation of results for internal/external audiences. The role will include collecting research data from children and young people and wider stakeholders, within schools and the community.

You will have a relevant degree in public health, psychology or other related social science field as well as knowledge of public health approaches and issues. Practical experience of organising and undertaking data collection is essential as well as knowledge of social research methods, including qualitative and quantitative methods.
