Thiagarajar College of Engineering (TCE) is a government-aided engineering college located in the city of Madurai, in the South Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It was founded in 1957 by the philanthropist and industrialist Karumuttu Thiagarajan Chettiar to provide quality education in engineering and technology. The college is affiliated with Anna University, Madurai, and offers a comprehensive range of academic programmes. Its nine undergraduate programmes cover various engineering disciplines, while its nine postgraduate programmes offer specialisation options in different fields of engineering and science. In addition, the college offers research programmes (MS and PhD) for students aspiring to contribute to the realm of scientific research. The robotics club offers students a chance to supplement their education and gain hands-on experience in integration engineering. Over the years, the club has engaged students through workshops, contests and tutorials, to foster students' interest in robotics. There are two campus hostels available for students, one for male and one for female students.

About the Job We are seeking a Lecturer / Senior Lecturer in Counselling to contribute to teaching, research, clinical supervision, and academic leadership across our undergraduate and postgraduate counselling provision. The post holder will contribute to the academic, professional, research, and administrative activities of the Counselling Cluster within the Department of Social Work, Counselling and Social Care, and, where appropriate, across the wider School. The role includes module leadership, teaching across a range of counselling-related subjects, assessment and feedback, supervision of student research projects, and participation in admissions, recruitment, and academic administration. Teaching will be delivered primarily face-to-face at our Stratford Campus, with some online delivery as required. The role also involves providing high-quality clinical supervision and supporting students to integrate theory, research, and professional practice in line with BACP and other relevant professional standards. The post holder will be expected to engage in scholarly activity and contribute to the continued development and growth of the counselling portfolio, as well as to the wider research culture of the Department and School. About You We are looking for an enthusiastic, student-focused academic and practitioner who is passionate about counselling education, clinical practice, and widening participation in higher education. You will hold a BACP-accredited postgraduate qualification in Counselling and Psychotherapy or Counselling and Coaching and be qualified to teach at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. You will be registered with a relevant professional body (preferably BACP), ideally accredited or eligible to apply for accreditation. You will be able to demonstrate significant experience of counselling/integrative counselling and coaching practice, alongside experience of teaching and/or training in higher education or a comparable professional context. Experience of clinical supervision, research supervision, module leadership, and curriculum development is highly desirable, as is a strong commitment to scholarly activity and professional development. The successful candidate is expected to lead an independent, world-class research programme in the area of cellular organization and dynamics, working at the interface of cell biology, biochemistry and biophysics to tackle cutting edge problems in their field. Example research areas include the spatial, temporal and biophysical organization of cells, gene expression, genome organization, genome plasticity and stability, regulation of cell growth and division, organelle function, membrane biology, membrane-less compartments, intracellular trafficking and transport, and mechanisms of quality control and cellular homeostasis. The new professor will investigate biological systems at the cell, tissue and/or (model) organism level, possibly driving the development of new technologies to probe cellular parameters. Integration of concepts from different fields to develop unified models of cellular function that go beyond correlative observations is desired. Research Fellow in Phanerozoic Ocean Biogeochemistry and Earth System Evolution

The School of Ocean and Earth Science at the University of Southampton is seeking to recruit a Research Fellow in Phanerozoic Ocean Biogeochemistry and Earth System Evolution. The successful applicant will work on the development and application of the cGENIE Earth system model for the NERC Pushing the Frontiers project 鈥淒etermining extinction correlates on geological timescales鈥, under the supervision of institutional lead Dr. Richard Stockey and in collaboration with team members at the University of Oxford (Project Lead Prof. Erin Saupe) and the University of Leeds (Project Co-Lead Prof. Ben Mills). The post holder will specifically work to generate a series of reconstructive models of 3D ocean biogeochemistry through the Phanerozoic (last ~540 million years). A key focus of this role is to explore uncertainty in three-dimensional ocean biogeochemistry over this time interval and its implications for geochemical proxy records and marine ecosystems. This is a relatively short-term, specialist Earth system modelling position (15-month duration). The post holder is therefore expected to have prior experience in intermediate complexity Earth system modelling and experience integrating key components of Earth system evolution on these timescales, or a strong track record in developing and deploying new skills in computational Earth Science research. The successful candidate will either hold, or be nearing completion of, a relevant PhD/DPhil and will have appropriate research experience alongside strong subject-specific expertise. They should be capable of working independently within established research programmes, managing their own research activities and contributing to academic publications. Strong communication skills are essential, including the ability to present research ideas and findings clearly, as well as representing the research group effectively in meetings and collaborative discussions.
