Unichristus is a private university in the state of Cear谩 in Brazil that has its roots in the 1950s with the Christus Elementary School. It then a higher education institution in 1995 as Christus College. The college then became Unichristus in 2012 and now has four campuses in Fortaleza: Dom Luis, Dionisio Torres, Ecologic Park, and Benfica. Unichristus offers a range of undergraduate programmes in a variety of disciplines that include: management, architecture and urbanism, biomedicine, accounting, nursing, civil engineering, production engineering, and aesthetics and cosmetics. The university also has programmes in the following disciplines: physiotherapy, gastronomy, medicine, nutrition, dentistry, psychology, radiology, and information systems. These courses are divided between their campuses, with health-related courses on the Ecologic Park site and business and finance-related disciplines on the Dom Luis site. For students who have completed an undergraduate degree, Unichristus also offers a variety of postgraduate options in areas of technology, law, health and management. These options include master鈥檚 and specialisation programs with courses such as corporate consulting, forensic expertise, clinical care in mental health, and environmental sanitation engineering. Remote learning extension courses are also offered at Unichristus which are designed to complement a degree course and enhance the student鈥檚 professional performance. In this virtual environment, students have support resources and can participate in discussions like they would in face-to-face learning. Extension courses can be taken in personal finances, investing in the financial market, merchandising, lab quality management, mobile application creation, and didactics.

Work hands-on in field-based research including diving and boating in Australia鈥檚 Great Southern Reef. Full-time (1 FTE) appointment on a fixed term basis for 3 years. About the area The School of Biological Sciences is a leading, multidisciplinary school with over 80 academic staff delivering world-class teaching and research across ecology, conservation, evolutionary biology, marine science, neuroscience and science communication. The School supports approximately 600 coursework students and supervises over 100 PhD candidates. This role is based within the Wernberg Lab at the Indian Ocean Marine Research Centre鈥攁 highly collaborative and internationally recognised research group specialising in temperate marine ecosystems and kelp forest ecology. The team leads innovative, multidisciplinary research spanning climate change impacts, marine heatwaves, biodiversity conservation and blue carbon, using approaches from field ecology to genomics and modelling. About the opportunity Contribute to cutting-edge research in marine ecology, with a focus on temperate reef systems and climate-driven ecosystem change. Deliver high-impact research outputs, including peer-reviewed publications, and collaborate with leading national and international research teams. Undertake field-based research activities, including data collection, ecological monitoring, and analysis of long-term reef system datasets. Participate in hands-on scientific fieldwork, including boating and scuba-based research in compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
